Annual Meeting: All Arsenal Credit Union members are welcome to attend our annual meeting on Thursday, April 30, at our Jefferson County headquarters (3780 Vogel Rd., in Arnold). The meeting will start promptly at 5:30 p.m. and end around 6:30 p.m. During the meeting, we will review our progress during the past year, hold our volunteer elections and recognize our 2015 scholarship winners. As a member/owner of Arsenal Credit Union, you will be able to vote for who serves on our board of directors and our supervisory committee. If you plan to attend, please contact Heather Reed at 314.919.1002 no later than Wednesday, April 29.
National Retirement Planning Week®: This week is dedicated to forming your comprehensive retirement outlook. Although that may sound like a daunting task, Arsenal has the resources to help you plan accordingly. Meet Michael Packman, a certified Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor who works for MEMBERS Financial Services, a business partner of the credit union. With more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, he can help you save for your retirement or live in your retirement. To schedule a no-cost, no-obligation meeting with him, call Wanda Flynn at 314.919.1059. For more details, click here to continue.
Get wild about saving: All young members who deposit any amount of money into their Arsenal account during April are eligible for prize rewards. Members ages 8 and under will be entered to win a stuffed Bassett Hound, members 9 to 12 years old will have the chance to win $35, and members 13 to 18 years old could win a $35 Amazon gift card. In addition, all participants will be automatically entered to win $100 through the National Youth Saving Challenge, hosted by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). With exciting perks like these, there’s no reason not to save!
April is National Financial Literacy Month:
In order to get the most out of your money, you have to understand
your money. Of course, we all know that dollar bills are green, most coins are silver, and plastic cards make excellent shopping partners – we mean understanding money on a deeper level. That’s why Arsenal provides one of the most immersive financial education experiences with our free Member Resource Centers, located within all but one of our branches. For those who are unable to travel to a branch, our online Financial Education page
is also an abundant resource. With a total of 12 topics and over 100 links to browse through, we have assembled the ultimate financial encyclopedia for your literary consumption.
