MasterCard® Cash Passport

The MasterCard Cash Passport is a prepaid, reloadable card that offers a safe and convenient alternative to traveler's checks and cash.

This card gives you the flexibility to:

  • Prepay balances to make budgeting easier.
  • Use it anywhere MasterCard debit cards are accepted.
  • Spend up to the value loaded on the card.
  • Get cash at ATMs worldwide.
  • Use a preselected or customized PIN for purchases.
  • Reload funds up to 24 times at the credit union, by phone, or online.
  • Carry an additional card that accesses the same funds for someone else to use or for safekeeping.

Plus, with the MasterCard Cash Passport, you're protected by MasterCard Purchase Assurance Service, MasterCard Emergency Assistance Service, MasterCard's zero liability policy, and MasterCard Lost Luggage Service.

Visit www.cashpassport.com to check your balance, transfer additional funds to your card using your debit or credit card, locate MasterCard ATMs and change your PIN. You can also check your balance and change your PIN or by calling 1.877.354.5923 in the U.S.

ACU members can purchase a MasterCard Cash Passport for $6.95 and nonmembers can get one for $10.00. Purchase an additional card that shares the same balance for $3.00. For additional fees and limits, click here.

How does the MasterCard Cash Passport work?

You can preload your MasterCard Cash Passport with a balance of $200-$8,500. Each time you make a purchase, the amount of that purchase is automatically deducted from the card. Since a merchant may not be able to tell how much money is on the card, keeping track of your balance is a sure way to know how much you have to spend.

How do I use the MasterCard Cash Passport at an ATM?

The MasterCard Cash Passport can be used at ATMs around the world that display the MasterCard Acceptance Mark. ATM functionality varies among financial institutions and countries. To get cash at an ATM, you should first follow any on-screen directions. If asked which account to access, try selecting “checking,” and if that does not work, use “credit.”
