If you're an Advantage Point member and a senior in high school planning to continue your education, you can enter our scholarship contest to help pay for your college expenses. The
2008 scholarship winners were announced on at our annual meeting on April 24. The application for the spring 2009 competition will be available in October 2008.

Local students recognized with college scholarships
Four members of our Advantage Point Teen Club were recognized for their academic achievements and community involvement with college scholarships from Arsenal at our annual meeting on April 24. Read exerpts from the applicants' essays.
Meghan Lenhardt ($1,000) attends Mehlville High School. This fall, she will go to Missouri State University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in biology. She hopes to get a Master’s degree in marine biology and become a marine biologist with an emphasis in marine life conservation and ocean preservation.
Michelle McAtee ($1,000) will be graduating from Rosati-Kain High School and plans to attend Truman State University. She will study history in order to pursue a career in law.
Another Rosati-Kain High School senior Colleen Carter ($500) will be going to the University of Missouri-Columbia. She wants to pursue a degree in biology and pre-med in order to become a physician.
Amanda Hancock ($500) will graduate from Oakville High School this spring. In the fall, she plans to attend the University of Arkansas to major in economics and finance in order to define economic policy.

This is the 12th scholarship competition Arsenal Credit Union has held; to date, the credit union has awarded $30,250 to 37 high school seniors.
