Checking account switch kit

Arsenal Credit Union has three checking account options designed to save you time and money. Now, switching to one of our checking accounts is convenient, too. We’ve provided a checklist and letters you can complete, print and mail to easily switch your checking account to Arsenal Credit Union.

Checklist

If you are not already a member, join Arsenal Credit Union.
Open an ACU checking account.
Ask your employer to move your direct deposit.* If your Social Security check is directly deposited into your account, call 1.800.772.1213. You'll need our routing number (281081233), your account number and owners' names, and your Social Security Number.
Transfer any automated withdrawals from and deposits to your account* (utilities, loans, mortgage, insurance, etc.).
Check your account statement from your previous institution after one month of switching your automated deposits and withdrawals. Verify that they have been successfully transitioned to your ACU account and that all checks written from your previous account have cleared. If there is no activity (aside from a monthly fee), close the account.*

Other things to consider

Move your bill pay account from your other financial institution.

  1. Print out a list of your payees from your current bill pay account.

  2. Log into AccessPoint Internet Account Access and apply for Bill Payer. (If you are signing into AccessPoint for the first time, call 314.962.6363 or 1.800.719.6363 for your password.)

  3. Once you are approved for Bill Payer, use your printout from your previous bill pay account to set up the same vendors in your new ACU Bill Payer account.

  4. Close your previous bill pay account immediately to avoid making double payments.
Transfer your credit card balance to an ACU Visa credit card.
Refinance your loan.
Contact a MEMBERS Financial Services rep to discuss your investment options.

*We have provided generic forms. Please note that some companies may require the use of their own forms to complete the transition. ACU is not responsible for notifying other companies about your new account, nor are we responsible for insufficient funds charges or late fees incurred.
