This executive would report to the chief executive officer and be responsible for overseeing all the accounting and financial operations, making investment purchases for the CU, preparing the annual budget, directing and coordinating the asset liability management (ALM) program, establishing accounting policies and procedures within GAAP, providing other financial reporting and analysis and working with auditors and examiners. He/she will also be accountable for maintaining integrity of financial reports, implementing special projects and ensuring adequate internal controls are in place for accounting activities. As a member of the senior management team, the SVP – Finance will assist in developing, monitoring and successfully achieving detailed business plans and organizational goals.
A bachelor's degree plus seven years experience in a management role in finance or accounting within the financial industry and complete understanding of all accounting functions, investments and ALM required.
This position requires thorough knowledge of collections, servicing, foreclosure, bankruptcy procedures and collection's legal requirements. You will be responsible for: handling various collections functions including the control of loan and credit accounts that are late, potentially delinquent, delinquent, or charged off; assisting in the resolution of difficult and complex member account situations; handling outbound and inbound call volume to collect and recover from members; assisting with collateral, repossessions, and the disposition of repossessed credit union assets; ensuring that established policies, procedures, and legal requirements are followed; and ensuring that services are delivered professionally and efficiently.
Selected applicant must possess 2-4 years of collections experience in a financial institution; previous bankruptcy and garnishment experience desired. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
This position is responsible for servicing member accounts, loans and services with ACU. Selected candidate must be highly personable and professional and have a courteous serving manner.
Minimum qualifications:
This position will be responsible for overseeing and handling the daily operations of the teller department.
Duties include processing financial transactions for members, cross-selling and referring products and services to each and every member served, managing the teller department schedule, balancing a cash drawer, ensuring department staff are trained, handling member complaints, overseeing vault and acting as vault teller, ensuring proper encoding and balancing of checks before sending to the Federal Reserve, and other duties as assigned. The chosen applicant must have a thorough understanding of credit union security systems and state & federal regulations affecting the teller area.
Previous handling of commercial accounts (night drop, business accounts, cash/coin orders) - A PLUS! Cash-handling experience and previous supervisory experience a must. Previous teller experience is also a must! Must have a can-do glad-to attitude! Excellent accuracy, leadership and problem solving abilities a must! The selected applicant must have a selling and cross-selling aptitude and initiative to lead the teller department with sales and referrals!
MUST be able to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
This position will assist with basic help desk responsibilities and manage tasks within the IT department. This position will be responsible for maintaining inventory, ordering supplies and other duties relative to supporting the IT department.
